Summer camp has never been so exciting! For the last two years, Golden Isles Martial Arts Academy has offered fun, active, challenging, creative, and adventurous summer camps. We are doing it again this year, with one major difference. GIMAA’s summer camps have a new home: The Tree House Kids Program at The Brick.
Your child will have a blast learning new things and making memories. There are so many different themes that every child will find something fun. We have a full slate of programs starting the day after school gets out, so check out our offerings and sign up!

Day Camps
These camps are one-day camps for 7-13 year old kids. They are held during the last week of school in May, and the first week of school in August. Kids must come prepared with bug spray, sunblock, clothes and shoes appropriate for the activities and weather (bathing suits may be worn under clothes), a towel, bottle of water, and lunch. Spending money & electronics are allowed, but not required, and The Brick and its representatives and staff are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
On travel days, we depart from The Brick at 9:00 AM sharp and return on or before 4:00 PM. On non-travel days, activities begin by 9:30 AM and end around 4:00 PM. Kids may arrive as early as 8:30 AM (no earlier!!). Kids must be picked up by 4:30 PM. After Camp Care from 4:30 – 6:00 PM is available for $5.00 per child per day. Please let us know by the morning of camp if you will take advantage of the After Camp Care.
We have very limited space, and camp is first come, first serve. Please see each individual camp for pricing. The more you sign up for, the better deal you get! The first camp is regular price; receive $5.00 off each additional camp! Campers must be registered and paid in full to reserve their spot (members may be billed). Camps are non-refundable if cancelled within 7 business days of the camp.
May 22nd – We are Okefenokee bound! Come with us to visit the “land of the trembling earth” as we explore interactive exhibits, walk the paths, check out the old homestead (complete with a working pump well) and take a boat tour of the swamp. Campers will discover native secrets and little known facts of the Okefenokee. $35.00 per child.
May 23rd – Exploring History at Timucuan Indian Preserve in Jacksonville! We will explore three parks in one on the 60,000 acre preserve including a ride across the St. Johns River on a car ferry! We will start at Ft. Caroline National Memorial, cross the river, visit the Ribault Club at Fort George Island Visitors Center, where we’ll have lunch, then finish our day at the Kingsley Plantation. It’ll be a day of learning, running, playing, and adventure. $25.00 per child.
May 24th – A Day of Spherical Fun! This camp is all ball – everything we do will revolve around a “ball”. Ball games, non-ball games WITH a ball, ballroom dancing, crafts with spheres, round snacks – we might even learn how to juggle! This will definitely be a well ROUNDED day of camp. $25.00 per child.
August 5th – It’s a Zoo-bilee! We will go to the Jacksonville Zoo, where we will see animals from around the world, ride the zoo train, play in the water park, and do so much more. We will attend keeper talks where we will learn about the animals and how they are cared for, and we might even happen upon a snake feeding. Never a dull moment at the zoo! $45.00 per child.
August 6th – Play all day at Adventure Landing! Always a popular destination for our campers, Adventure Landing is a huge fun park with an arcade, laser tag, interactive rides, mini-golf, go-carts, and lots of other activities. Included in your day is unlimited laser-tag, outside rides, go-karts, and mini-golf. Campers must bring extra money for arcade games, treats, and/or the gift shop. Towel, sunscreen, and water bottle are not required on this day. $45.00 per child.
August 7th – Science Quest! We will spend all day using science to do the coolest stuff. We’ll do inside experiments making chewing gum, bouncy balls, volcanoes and more. Outside, we’ll explore science with air rockets and egg drops. You’ve never had so much fun using your brain! $35.00 per child.
Summer Camps
Summer camps are non-stop four or five day camps based on a theme that guides all of our activities for the week. Each week we have one goal in mind, which is to HAVE FUN! And it doesn’t hurt that kids may learn cool stuff and experience new things along the way.
- Ages: Regular camps are open to children 7-13 years old. Mini camps are for kids 4-6.
- To Register: Camps are on a first come, first serve basis, and there is limited space for each. We will register camps until they are full, and then we will start a waiting list. You must complete a camp enrollment form and pay a non-refundable $50.00 deposit for each camp that you are registering.
- The balance for June camps is due May 1st; if you register for June camps after May 1st, they must be paid in full at the time of registration.
- The balance for July camps is due June 1st; if you register for July camps after June 1st, they must be paid in full at the time of registration.
- Pricing & Discounts: Please see each individual camp for pricing. For multiple camp registrations, the first camp is full price; you then receive 10% off for each additional camp (of equal or lesser value), up to 30% off your total! This applies to non-discounted camps only.
- What to Bring: Campers must bring their “Adventure Pack” every day, which should include a change of clothes, swimsuit, towel, water bottle, bug spray and sunblock. Campers may leave the pack at The Brick for the week of camp. Unless otherwise noted, campers must bring a packed lunch and extra food for snack every day. Detailed information about each camp will be emailed to parents a week before the camp they are attending.

After camp care is available on those weeks from 4:30 – 6:00 PM for $5.00 per child per day. Please let us know by the morning of camp if you will take advantage of the After Camp Care. June 3-7: Multi-Adventure Challenge Camp (MACh), ages 7-13
Are you up to the challenge? Kids will be divided into teams and will compete in ten challenges over the week to earn points. Challenges will include The Amazing Race, Fear Factor, Water Olympics, Adventure Race, Scavenger Hunt, Minute to Win It, Cup Wars and much more! We will also go on awesome field trips to Adventure Landing and the Jacksonville Zoo. At the end of the week, the winning team will take home the coveted MACh 1 trophy. June 10-13: Kids in Motion Mini Camp, Session 1, ages 4-6
Little minds are constantly learning, and little bodies are constantly moving. This week kids will use their minds and bodies to take part in a fun week of martial arts, inside and outside games, dancing, playing, learning, and crafts. Together with their Junior Leaders, mini-campers will learn so much about themselves, working with others, working as a team, being creative, being independent, and having fun! Members: $125.00 per child Non-Members: $145.00 per child
June 18-21: Artful Antics, ages 7-13
Things are gonna get messy, loud, and crazy during this week of creating with arts of all kinds! Art isn’t just about painting, and we are going to show kids what that means. Kids will learn how to make art out of food, music, performance, clothing, paint, pottery, trash and many other ways. We’ll get messy and zany and have a blast. And the best part is, there will be so many keepsakes to bring home to remember this awesome camp week. Members: $175.00 per child Non-Members: $205.00 per child
June 24-28: Partying Around the World, ages 7-13
Have you ever wanted to go to New Orleans’ Mardi Gras? Brazil’s Carnivale? New Year’s Eve in Times Square? Mexico’s Cinco de Mayo? Around the world, countries celebrate their own special holidays in fun ways that we’ve never even heard of. The world’s biggest water fight is Thailand’s Songkran. The world’s biggest food fight is Spain’s La Tomatina. We’ll experience these holidays and more, both in the US and around the world, with games, events, foods, costumes and music from each. You don’t need to leave St. Simons Island to travel the world this summer.

July 9-12: Kids in Motion Mini Camp, Session 2, ages 4-6

July 15-19: Magical Mystery Tour
This week, kids will find out each day what they are doing for that day. At the beginning of the day they will find out what the day’s theme will be, but they won’t know what they’re doing until they actually do it. Will we get messy? Will it be loud? Where will we go? Who will we see? They will have to have their Adventure Pack ready and with them at all times because you never know what’s going to happen. We do know one thing for sure: kids will have a blast! July 22-26: Game On!
It’s all about the game this week! Our days will be packed with non-stop action as we play games of all kinds. We’ll play games everyone knows and some the campers have never even heard of. Silly games, card games, indoor games, outdoor games – if it’s a game, we’ll probably play it. We’ll do team and individual games, and kids can compete for awesome prizes. Campers will play a life-size board game, become characters in our own “video game”, and campers will even make up their own game. Members: $175.00 per child Non-Members: $205.00 per child
